Corporate Leadership and the Strength of a Region

Strong regions are built not only through economic growth, but through the strength of the institutions and organizations that support communities — from education and workforce development to housing stability and community health.

Corporate leaders are frequently asked to support a wide range of worthwhile organizations and initiatives. At the same time, many executives are thinking more intentionally about how they decide where to focus their time, attention, and resources in ways that create meaningful and lasting impact for the regions where they operate.

Hosted by Satell Institute member Bill Ward, CEO of Ward Transport & Logistics, this executive roundtable will bring together a small group of CEOs and senior executives for a candid conversation about how business leaders approach community investment and how they identify the nonprofit and civic organizations that align with their values and priorities.

Together, participants will explore how these decisions contribute to the long-term strength of a region and what distinguishes strong partnerships from transactional requests.

In the spirit of the Satell Institute, this will be an off-the-record, no-ask conversation among peers, focused on sharing perspectives and practical insights.
